The Canebreak Rattlesnake represents the southern subspecies
of the Timber Rattlesnake. The effects of this snake’s venom is similar to those of the Eastern diamondback. The composition of the venom somewhat different and is more toxic. It, however, delivers less venom than the diamondback. The venom is not neutralized as effectively as it is with the former. This is because this venom is not used in the immunizations and production of the Antivenin. |
